چکیده

Abstract Recently, advances in neuroscience have attracted attention to the diagnosis, treatment, and damage schizophrenia-associated brain regions using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). This research is immersed endowment of machine learning approaches for discriminating schizophrenia patients provide a viable solution. Toward these goals, firstly, we implemented two sample t -tests find activation difference between healthy controls. The average control higher than patient. Secondly, correlation technique variations on presumably hidden associations structure its associated function. Moreover, current results support viewpoint that function integration helpful gain insight into pathological mechanism schizophrenia. Finally, Lasso regression used low-dimensional rs-fMRI their experimental showed SVM classifier surpasses nine algorithms provided best with good accuracy 94%.

Review of thalamocortical resting-state fMRI studies in schizophrenia.

Brain circuitry underlying cognition, emotion, and perception is abnormal in schizophrenia. There is considerable evidence that the neuropathology of schizophrenia includes the thalamus, a key hub of cortical-subcortical circuitry and an important regulator of cortical activity. However, the thalamus is a heterogeneous structure composed of several nuclei with distinct inputs and cortical conne...

Brain Connections – Resting State fMRI Functional Connectivity

With the introduction of electroencephalography (EEG) in 1930, researchers began to explore spontaneous activity in the brain by recording the individual, independently of any task. Subsequently, evoked potential studies, where electrical potentials were recorded at the onset of a stimulus, marked a milestone in brain research. Utilizing such methods coupled with experimental psychology, resear...

Functional disintegration in paranoid schizophrenia using resting-state fMRI.

Functional disintegration has been observed in schizophrenia during task performance. We sought to investigate functional disintegration during rest because an intrinsic functional brain organization, including both "task-negative" (i.e., "default mode") and "task-positive" networks, has been suggested to play an important role in integrating ongoing information processing. Additionally, the br...

Resting-state fMRI connectivity impairment in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

BACKGROUND Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder share aspects of phenomenology and neurobiology and thus may represent a continuum of disease. Few studies have compared connectivity across the brain in these disorders or investigated their functional correlates. METHODS We used resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging to evaluate global and regional connectivity in 32 healthy control...

Decreased Functional Connectivity of Homotopic Brain Regions in Chronic Stroke Patients: A Resting State fMRI Study.

The recovery of motor functions is accompanied by brain reorganization, and identifying the inter-hemispheric interaction post stroke will conduce to more targeted treatments. However, the alterations of bi-hemispheric coordination pattern between homologous areas in the whole brain for chronic stroke patients were still unclear. The present study focuses on the functional connectivity (FC) of ...
